I just hope (and have faith) that one person or one community's "truly making it in the fullest sense of the phrase" isn't a temporary illusion built on a pyramid of human misery. Can we create a world economy and civilization that works for all?Essential Living Foods tries to reward farmers more than the grindingly low global commodity market does...but how can this translate to a worldwide practice? When everything is "Fair Trade," is ANYTHING Fair Trade anymore? Our financial system (and some would say "our material reality") is built on scarcity, so someone always loses, and someone always gets squeezed...Can we build a non-zero-sum economic system? (and, more far out, Would renewable energy, cold-fusion, nanotech, or advanced AI allow us to live in global peace and fulfillment? Or would radical empowerment of all individuals create anarchic chaos?)please answer in 20 words or less.
